Make a circular image with transparent corners
Choose a browser-decodable image up to 10 MiB, position a circular crop, and download a PNG. The output is a square pixel image with a circular visible area and transparent corners. It is not an SVG circle and does not add a configurable decorative border.
How to crop
- Choose an image or drop it into the upload area.
- Wait for the source and initial crop preview to load.
- Drag the selection to position the subject, and drag its handles to change its size. The selection keeps a 1:1 aspect ratio.
- Inspect the circular preview and keep important content away from the edge.
- Use Crop & Download to save the PNG, then inspect it in its destination.
A preview is generated after the image loads and updated when the crop is completed. The displayed frame or border helps position the selection; it is not a configurable border baked into the downloaded file.
Output size versus preview size
The download resolution comes from the selected region in the source image, adjusted for how the source is displayed. The small preview frame is only a display size, not the output resolution selector.
For example, a square 200×200 source-pixel region becomes a square image of approximately 200×200 pixels with transparent corners; fractional selection coordinates can be rounded to canvas dimensions. Selecting a small region does not create detail that was absent from the source.
PNG supports transparency, so an image viewer with a white background may make the corners look white. Inspect it on a contrasting background or in an editor that displays transparency. Saving the result as JPEG elsewhere removes that alpha transparency.
Input support and animation
The upload control accepts image files and the browser must be able to decode the actual encoding. Common JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP inputs depend on browser support; a valid extension alone is not enough. Canvas export creates a raster PNG and does not preserve a GIF's animation or vector scalability.
A large pixel count can consume substantial memory even when the file is under the byte limit. The tool does not certify metadata removal or create a chosen print resolution. Keep the original source for future editing.
Troubleshooting
The subject is cut off: move the crop, increase its diameter, or use a source with more space around the subject. The circular boundary will remove the square region's corners.
The result looks soft: select a larger source region and avoid enlarging a small output in the destination page.
The image will not load: check its size, format, and integrity, then try a supported export from the original editor.
